DANCING IN THE STREETS ll

July 28th and 29th, 2006

Join us for another great weekend of Miata touring and Lafayette's "Hot Summer Nights, Dancing in the Streets" festival http://www.dancinginthestreets.net . Those of you who like to play games, wine taste and party early can come join us on Friday night. We only have 33 rooms this year so book early for both nights. We are planning a scenic tour through Indiana's Tippecanoe County Saturday morning July 29th at 10 AM, with a stop at our oldies car show, which normally features over 400 show cars. After we leave the car show and tour back roads to a unique eatery, we will tour again and then head back to our hotel to rest up for the Dancing in the Streets event. The eating, drinking, and dancing event starts right outside our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn in West Lafayette, IN.

This new hotel, West Lafayette Hilton Garden Inn  is located near eating places, theaters and Purdue University. Please ask for the Windy City Miata Club's discount rate of $101.00 plus tax. Call 765-743-2100 for reservations. There are many other motels in the area just call for more information if you would like to stay one night only elsewhere.

There is an abundance of eating booths at the festival featuring the best of our top restaurants. You buy tickets as you enter to purchase food. Entrance fee is $6 and we usually get $15 to $30 worth of food and drink tickets as we enter. You can always buy more tickets if needed. There are beer and wine gardens and several bands playing at once in different areas until midnight.  At 7 PM there is a cruise-in right downtown that features some 300 cars and many muscle cars that do burnouts on the streets to the delight of the crowds.  We'll also have Sunday morning events available for those that would like to visit area attractions.

Please RSVP to Norm when you register at the Hilton Garden Inn - again, ASAP. Let me know if you are staying both nights or just attending Saturday's event.  This is a fun weekend. Be part of it with us. We'll have more details available later.

Sincerely, Your Hoosier Event Hosts,
