Lincoln Highway National Headquarters (one of the first dry goods stores on this
historic route), the old restored Grist Mill, and if you like, we can drive to
the Mendota Hills Wind Farm area.
This day starts off with
breakfast in Oregon, IL at 8:00a to 9:30a at the Spring
Valley Restaurant on Rt.
64, just past the Pizza Hut .
Click here for map and customized directions to the restaurant.
To start out,we will be on an hour ride of beautiful, scenic, and curve filled roads which will take us to our very first stop at the Depot Museum and the day goes on.
Please RSVP if you think
you can make it. It's a full day of great history and fantastic roads. I stopped
by to check out the Depot Museum onSunday and was quite surprised as to the
volume and categories of history they hold. The original train engine sets
outside the depot.
Hope to see many of you there.
E-mail please or call so we can get a head count. Thanks!
