BOGGIE TO THE BOG !

With  John and Kathy Voirin

What a perfectly planned trip! Everything down to the wonderful drive home!! What about getting there?? We can all get there by ourselves

BUT... What’s the fun in that? So... We are planning a leisurely convoy to our destination.

The starting point will be the parking lot just south of Woodman’s Market on I-88 and Orchard Road in North Aurora. There is a McDonald’s for those that want coffee/breakfast. Departure time is tentatively set for 8:30 AM. We will head west on I-88 and meet our friends from out west at the truck stop on Rt. 38 and 39/51. We will drive through there and head off to the Wisconsin Visitors center for our final rendezvous.

We will leave the Visitors center @ 10:30 heading for Baraboo, WI, Exit 106 stopping for:

Lunch - will be at the "Log Cabin Restaraunt"
1215 8th St, Baraboo, WI 53913 · 608-356-8034

This rustic restaurant is a popular stop throughout the day for its selection of breakfast items as well as its full lunch and dinner menus. For breakfast, try the French toast or pancake plates. For heartier lunch and dinner courses, try the smoked prime rib or beer-battered cod. The Log Cabin is also home to a mouth-watering selection of breads and sweets, prepared daily in the on-site bakery, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

After lunch we will head out on the wonderful Wisconsin back roads finding WI. Rt. 131 at LaFarge, Wisconsin.

Here we meet the Kickapoo River!!!

The Wisconsin Bureau of Tourism claims it is

Known as the  Crookedest River in the World”

Well the road that follows this is a Miata Road to us!

35 miles of ZOOM_ZOOMing later we will arrive in Tomah with plenty of time to check in and get ready for dinner.
