July 4, 2007

11:30 to 12:00 assemble at the Osburn’s house--800 Brown Ave., Evanston, IL 60202--for refreshments and paperwork.  For directions, here is a link to Google Maps...

SPECIAL NOTE--going north on 294, the east bound exit at Dempster is closed for construction!  If you are coming up 294, we recommend exiting at Touhy--a real Miata off ramp that is almost hidden right after the toll plaza.  8 miles east and you reach McCormick Blvd., 1 mile north to Main Street then ½ mile east to Brown Avenue and 1 block south to Washington to our house.

In case you need further directions, our phone number is 847-864-6982.

12:15 we will caravan over to our staging area in north Evanston, decorate the cars and wait for our turn.  The theme is “Summertime, Good Time”, our Miatas are the essence of Summertime--so let your creativity loose!

After the parade, we return to the Osburn’s for the optional picnic in the yard (a nominal fee of $10/person will be collected).  Italian beef and parmesan chicken breast sandwiches are featured this year, along with baked beans, several cold salads, beer and pop.  Feel free to bring a small dessert to share.
