Tech Day.
June 3rd, 2007
My son Blake and I will be
hosting a tech day at our storage shop in
Racine,
Wisconsin. We are inviting club members to participate in dismantling 2 or 3 of
the wrecked Miatas that we have bought.
This is a unique opportunity
to really take a car apart and see what makes her tick, without having to worry
about putting the thing back together!
The parts that we take off
the cars, will be sold to help defray the costs of racing two Spec Miatas and
one soap box derby car! Lol

A club effort helping with
the dismantling would count as sweat equity, helping sponsor our team.
WHERE?:
Our shop at 2009 Kewaunee
street in Racine Wisconsin. The shop is in a group of buildings that all pretty
much share the same address. Coming to the shop off Hwy 38 (Northwestern Ave),
you turn onto High Street by the fire station and head east to Summit Ave. then
proceed South to Kewaunee Street, and turn west onto a brick paved road. The
setting will look like An old English bunch of car factories! Proceed west to
“Horlick” drive, then find a place to park in either lot. Our shop is at the
Southwest corner of the building, and I will try to have some signs out!
Soft Drinks, Kringles and
bottled water will be provided, and our Race Team will send out for some famous
Derango pizzas at lunch time.
I have about 20 People on a
list that wanted to be included in future emails, some folks said they wanted to
be included, but most likely couldn’t come.
I would like to set a limit
of 21 or so people at the most. So I would like to do a sign up sheet.
We MAY have bathroom
facilities by that time, but probably will not. If we don’t, I will rent a porta
potty and have it on site.
