2003 Event Organizers’ Recognition

Highlights:

  1. New this year. We’ll see how it goes.
  2. Organizers’ points are not combined with participation points – there is a separate list.

Rules:

  1. No event qualifies for any points until it is approved by the Vice-President.
  2. The schedule below covers many kinds of events, but the Vice-President will decide the exact points as part of placing an event on the calendar.
  3. Points for a single event are divided among the organizers. After each event, the organizers submit the division of points earned to the Vice-President.
  4. The officers decide the type of recognition to be given at the end of the season. (This need not be purely on point totals; recognition might also be given for number of events organized, first-time organizers, etc.)

Point schedule:

  1. WCMC driving event (e.g. tour, rally, autocross, car control clinic)

·         Half-day event (under 6 hours)     12 points

·         Full-day event (scheduled for at least 6 hours)      20 points

·         Multi-day event (per event, not per day)     30 points

  1. Non-WCMC driving event (e.g. regional gathering or track tour)

·         Half- or full-day     4 points

·         Multi-day     6 points

  1. Local event

·         Community service project (Food Depository,
Habitat for Humanity, etc.)     4 points

·         Local event (e.g., Miatas for breakfast, tech day, parade, car show,
BBQ, pool party, banquet, golf, mini-golf, karts, WhirlyBall)     4 points

  1. Other contribution to WCMC

·         “Pit Crew”     0 points

·         Monthly business meeting     0 points

·         Monthly officers’ meeting     0 points

If there is a tour involved, these points are added to the driving event points if members can come to the event without participating in the tour. Otherwise, only the driving event points are scored.
