Hosting a WCMC Event

 

Hosting a WCMC event is easier than you think. Here are 4 simple steps to follow:

 

 

 

Plan

Have fun! Planning an event is exciting and rewarding. Pick a favorite destination, or an event that interest you, and you think may interest others. Communicate

Contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and give them the tour name, location, and dates. Email the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for the Website calendar. Email the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for the newsletter. Advertise your event to the fullest, including newsletter articles, web article, announcements at meetings or other events, and eGroup messages.

The Event

Have a Waiver (including Minor and Parental Consent waivers if needed) printed to sign at your event. These are only needed for a driving event. If your event is a burger night, or non-driving event all you need is a sign up sheet. Have printed directions (if a driving tour) printed for everyone. Have a Drivers Meeting to reinforce safe driving!!!

Wrap it up

If you collected any money for your event you need to fill out a Financial Statement, turn this in to the treasurer. Turn in your sign up/waiver sheets to the vice-president. Turn in a copy of your event to the historian (somebody in the future may want to host a tour in the same area and this would help—more tours!) Start planning your next event!!!
