WCMC’s ANNUAL FALL COLOR TOUR 2017

 Sunday, October 15th

Everyone should attend the Fall Color Tour on Sunday, October 15th, we are predicting GREAT WEATHER for that Sunday (okay, we are really hoping and praying). Our annual tradition takes place in southern Wisconsin (Land of cheese and semi-pro football). We will be revisiting some of your favorite roads, like the rustic roads east of Lake Geneva and in the Kettle Moraine area including both sections of our personal favorite the roller coaster-like Waterville and Piper Roads. We have added some new favorites, so you'll have to come along to find out what they are. Best of all, we've added bathroom stops.

Our WCMC Fall Color Tour will once again depart from Lamb’s Farm in Libertyville IL.  Lamb’s Farm is very easy to get to; its entry driveway is at the bottom of the ramp off of northbound I-94 at IL-176 Rockland Road (exit 16). Please arrive with a full tank of gas -- the tollway oasis is just 2 miles south of Lamb's, and it is 80 miles to the first gas station on the tour.

Try to arrive at Lamb’s Farm by 8:00 am where we will be enjoying their $6.95 breakfast buffet at the Magnolia Café & Bakery.  Please be generous with your tips for their special needs adults. Bring cash for a speedier checkout.  If you can’t make it for breakfast that’s OK, you can register at the parking lot.

New this year -- the tour will run in two distinct groups. You'll be assigned a group when you sign in. Each group will have its own driver's meeting, with lead and sweep cars. The first DRIVERS' MEETING will be at 8:45 am. The second DRIVERS' MEETING will follow in a different part of the parking lot. Make sure you go to your assigned meeting.

The tour will conclude by 2 pm at Crandall’s Restaurant, 10441 Main St (IL-47) in Hebron IL. (We'll provide a few treats so you can manage your hunger until we get there.)

To speed service, we've limited the menu to 4 items:

  • “All-you-can-eat World Famous Broasted Chicken” with sides $12.95
  • Chef Salad $9.95
  • Fish Sandwich with French Fries $9.95
  • Chopped Steak $11.95
  • Drinks, tax, and tip are extra.

We will ask you to choose one item when you sign in for the tour. This way the restaurant will be prepared for us. Checks will be by tables. Crandall's has a slow credit card machine, so they suggest you bring cash.

Remember

  • Cash for breakfast and lunch/dinner
  • Full tank of fuel
  • Personal dietary needs
  • CB radio (not manditory)

Suggestion

Please save these locations into your navigation device (GPS/smartphone) as destinations, way points, favorites, points of interest, etc. These won’t give you our complete tour route, but you can use them to reunite with the group if you get separated.
