We’ll end the 2026  “Meet Me for Ice Cream” season by returning to THE SWEET OASIS, a popular ice cream stop in Norridge and the destination for our first ice cream run in 2017. THE SWEET OASIS  offers a cornucopia of frozen desserts – ice cream cups,  cones, and sundaes (more than 50 ice cream flavors), soft serve twists (5 different flavor combinations), gelato (9 flavors), Italian ice (8 flavors), razzles, parfaits, milkshakes, smoothies, refreshers, freezies, snow cones, hardshell dips (4 flavors), and Italian sodas.

We will begin the drive at another WCMC favorite, Russell’s BBQ in Elmwood Park. You can catch a little lunch there (not too much, you don’t want to ruin your appetite for ice cream).

This is an urban drive with traffic lights and three commuter railroad crossings, so please bring your FRS radio to help us all stay connected.

We anticipate a beautiful drive, with fall color in the Forest Preserves, ending with an equally colorful and  delicious array of excellent ice cream choices. We hope you will join us.
