Drivers meeting around 8:20am

 

Where: 300 S Randall Rd, Elgin, IL 60123

Target parking lot near the KFC.

 

What to expect:

• Roughly 3.5 hours of driving with stops in between

• 15–20-minute stretch breaks or potty breaks

• Roundabouts

• Curvy roads

• Farmland (in Illinois, shocking! I know)

• Familiar roads from recent president's tours (with some changes)

• Lunch break around 11:30am (more on that below)

• Maybe cows or horses

• A few railroad crossings (feel free to count them)

• Miatas

• And of course (hopefully) Fall Colors

 

We will have 3 segments before stopping at Niko's Red Mill Tavern in Woodstock

After lunch (about an hour), once everyone has checks settled and ready to continue, we will have 1 more segment ending at Hickory Grove Highlands Conservation Area in Cary, IL

 

I am limiting the cars to 15 to keep the group small and as not to overwhelm restaurant staff. However, there might be room to squeeze in another car or 2 should there be several driver-only miatas. 

 

Again, like the President's Tour, this is only open to members. So, become a member and enjoy the last official drive of the season with us!
