The Autocross Coordinators are crazy about autocross, but we know the value of safety and comfort. As much as it pains us to say this… we feel we must cancel the first autocross due to the miserable weather in the forecast.
We have been watching the forecast for several days, and at many different times today. It keeps showing the same nasty stuff.
We typically arrive at 6am. The weather should be fine for an hour or so. Then comes the rain. . . just in time for first car on course. I’m sure everyone enjoys standing in the rain, and wind, and possibly sleet and s**w. (What a bad word!)
Then we get to experience another springtime Winter Storm Watch. Let’s not forget the drive home on summer tires.
